'Theatre in our Schools' Month

This month of March is historically when we celebrate and talk about the power of #TheatreInOurSchools every single day. And yet, we can advocate for its inclusion all year long!

Join us and thousands of students and theatre educators to raise awareness of the benefits of theatre education. Together we can draw attention to the need for more access to theatre education for all students. Help spread the message to our communities—that theatre education teaches vital 21st-century skills critical to success on and off the stage!

The schools throughout our nation, including ours in Honesdale, are providing wonderful performing opportunities for our young artists.  Theatre education can help young people develop a strong sense of self and identity.

Theatre education broadens the ways young artists make meaning of the world around them.

At Honesdale Performing Arts, and through our Friends of Honesdale Performing Arts, we celebrate all of the educators and students who spend countless hours cultivating the next generation of theatre artists. With your help, and by a small gift of donation to these young artists, it will help them and some less fortunate perform in our musical productions that will be a part of their hearts and souls for their entire lives.
